Free software activities

Umbrello is a very easy to use UML modeller (Unified Modelling Language). It is part of the KDE SDK. It can generate source code direcly from the class diagrams.

Xaraya is a free software CMS, highlights are flexibility provided by connecting small functional pieces together, rich module set, very active development, availabiltiy in several languages.

QCad is a crossplatform, free software CAD application based on Trolltech QT. The software has rich and flexible drawing features, from simple lines to hatch fills, blocks or layer handling. The 2.0 version is GPLed on Linux but limited by the QT licenses on other platforms.

Postnuke is a free software CMS, highlights are easy setup and usage, wide range of base and third party modules, availabiltiy in several languages. Postnuke Hungary is one of the many free software related community portals.

OpenOffice.org is a free software office suite, incuding wordprocessor (OOo Writer), spreadsheet (OOo Calc), presentation (OOo Impress) and more. The program can load most of the Microsoft Office documents.

LinNeighborhood is a simple GUI tool for Linux for browsing and attaching Windows shares on your network. The program is not maintained anymore, because this task can be done by most of file managers in Linux today.

Grip is a simple CD ripper program for Linux, you can grab a CD by few mouse clicks. It can fetch the titles from freedb or other online CD databases.
